Siak Sri Indrapura City is the capital of Siak Regency in Riau. This city is a city in Riau which is designated as a heritage city. Siak Sri Indrapura City, or as it is commonly called Siak City, is about 98 km from Pekanbaru. If using four wheels, it will take about 2 hours and 20 minutes. The city of Siak is located on the outskirts of the Siak river, which is known as the deepest river in Indonesia.
The determination of this heritage city was carried out by the Ministry of PUPR through the Director General of Human Settlements on December 15, 2017. To achieve this heritage city, of course, requires a long struggle for the Siak Regency Government in this case, the Siak PU Service. The struggle has been carried out since February 2016 with various studies that must be carried out. To apply for a heritage city, the Siak Regency Government has a myriad of very worthy reasons for consideration by the central government. Because in this Siak City, there is evidence of past history of Islamic kingdoms known as the Siak Sri Indrapura Kingdom.
